I had to use formula with my first along with breastfeeding. With formula they should be getting 2-3 ounces at least every 2-3 hours. I'm breast feeding my second and at 6 days she would eat every 2 hours, around 20-30 min in each side.

I fed my daughter two ounces for the first four weeks then my doctor said she could start drinking 4 ounces. I formula feed

I'm nursing and I fed him every time he was hungry. in the first couple days you could be having to fees alot because of cluster feeding.

I think formula fed baby's eat less often. but maybe 4 oz.
