Today I had my first ultrasound (was supposed to be last week but got rescheduled) According to my last period I am 6 weeks 5 days. During the ultrasound she said I am measuring much smaller and my gestational sac is 9mm. We saw the yolk sac but no baby. I'm automatically thinking something is wrong. Am I paranoid for no reason? I go back on January 4th for another ultrasound.

this same thing happened to me. my sac was measuring 4 weeks. went back at 6 weeks and baby was there. youre last period might be wrong. mine were never constant so it messed w my ovulation. that's why mine was off.

when you're early it's normal for them not to see baby. my first ultrasound was at 9w2d (was supposed to be at 12w but had some issues). My first appointment was at 7w5d but they didn't do an ultrasound because of the possibility of not being able to see anything. Think about it: the baby is the size of a grain of rice at this point! I'm sure everything is fine. :)

Nope. Don't be worried at all. That was my exact Uktrasound at 5 weeks. Only the sac! Went back at 7 weeks and saw my little peanut with a heartbeat ❤️

thats how my first appt was... thought i was 6 weeks preg5 based on my cycle but turned out i was a week behind because my cycles were irregular. Found out a week later there were 2 little angels growing

thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement! I'm starting to feel better, this is my first pregnancy and a surprise pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect.

@allybrand, your probably just not as far along as you thought. This happened to me, & they had me come back in 1 or 2 weeks later & sure enough my lil baby was there & I got to hear her heart beat. Apparently the first time I went I was only about 4 or 5 weeks pregnant, & the second time I was 6 weeks. Don't worry I'm sure everything's fine !
