Mine is slightly lip tied but don't foresee any need for intervention at this time.....other than my beloved nipple shield. I swear I love that thing lol

My baby was a preemie. So she needled the shield cause my boobs were too big for her and it helped. Well she has started biting before and they seen she was tongue tied so I went ahead and gave the go to get it clipped. She was doing perfect without the shield after that. Then all the sudden she started biting harder than ever and even stays clamped down when she bites for a second.

my daughter was and had the surgery because she wasnt able to eat at all now she is bottle fed my Dr suggested the use of pacifiers to train her to use her tounge. i suggest the surgery it made her happier since she can now latch

Both of my kids were tongue tied and it definitely made it hard for them to breastfeed. They both had their tongue ties clipped and it made breastfeeding soooo much easier! My daughter wasn't even able to latch because of it.

But honestly it isn't a "surgery" it's basically a doctor's appt and they make a tiny tiny cut on the tongue tie and after that the baby will cry which allows the rest of the tongue tie to break away, and that's it! Both my kids cried for like two seconds then we're fine :) it wasn't anything traumatic or scary!

my daughters was a severe case it went all the way to the

tip she was cliped first then had to go back for it again.

chances are yours will not be that bad try the pacifier traning if possible

my doctor said that the pacifier training could take a couple of weeks to take for my daughter it worked after and say two weeks but it really does help strengthen
