Okay ladies I'm sorry but I need to get this off my chest and I can't do it with my husband. So I watch my sister in laws 4 month baby for just a $100 a week, well she has a 8-4 job and tells me all the time she's got to work late, or come up with some lame excuse to why she's an hour late picking him up (like cows were crossing the road, and no I'm not kidding) she comes home whenever she wants and never let's me know anything. So last night she hadn't spoken to me all weekend about watching the baby or what time to be over there. so I texted her at 11 pm and asked if she wanted me to watch him, she said if I could. well then I ask her the details of when she will be home and what time I need to be over there. no response, so I made other plans with my husband and now his mom and her are both mad at me. and say I'm a horrible person. Now keep in mind none of them liked me to begin with. help.

stop being a push over. you are watching her child full time for $100 plus more than what she says she needs you. put your foot down and tell her if she continues to be late picking the baby up you will charge her more.

I started doing that and then when she would pay me and say (since she's a single mom of 2) that she didn't have the extra money because she had to pay bills and I get that because she doesn't get child support but then don't be late because you are out with your new boyfriend instead of coming home to your kids.
you should start charging 125 per week (that's what's charged for an infant at a cheap daycare.) set a specific time she should be picking him up, and charge her a dollar every minute she's late. if she doesn't like it, stop watching him. she's going to be walking all over you until you stand up for yourself. she's using you girl. and let them get mad. they can get the hell over it lol
thank you! I am only trying to keep my cool (he and I have gotten into many fights about it because he won't stick up for me) for him because I know that's his family and we have a daughter on the way and I just want everyone to get along.
if her mom is that concerned & calls herself mad, that her daughter is an inconsiderate little prick, she can watch the baby :) and they can both fuck off since neither of them like you
wow. I honestly wouldn't babysit anymore. if she can't give you a definite schedule it's not worth it. you have a life and things to do also. running late once in a while is fine, but not every day.
When someone is watching your child those plans should be made well before 11pm. You should not even have to ask that's her job. You WAY better than me! Because if it was me ? I'm way to petty I would NEVER watch anybody's children who don't like me. Who cares if they are mad let her mother watch he kid if she has a issue with you! You have a life too
