Why do people put Christmas gifts under the tree before Christmas ? Especially people who tell their…

We don't do the whole Santa thing anymore but our presents are still hidden away from prying eyes til Christmas

We always put presents under the tree that are the family presents and then Santa leaves gifts wrapped in special paper that the kids don't see until Christmas morning.

I don't do Santa but I do put gifts under the tree before Christmas

we will put the presents under the tree Christmas eve the ones from mommy and daddy and then ones from santa which are wrapped in different t paper will go under the tree after kids are in bed.

my son don't know about Santa really he's two but i still wait. if I put his gifts under the tree now everything would be open. @junesmommy15 , @rebcamdot , @lilchicken

I don't do the Santa thing bc of my own reason which if I get into will likely cause some tension but my son is 10 and everything would be open and he would look at me with the "what happen" face

Well I did ...n my kids don't touch or even go near them we open our presents on Xmas eve but at 11:00

I plan on wrapping Christmas eve after my son is in bed I have his toys stashed in my room but my son would open his gifts if I did it earlier lol.

I put the gifts that are from me and my fiance to our kids and the ones I bought for my fiance under the tree before Christmas. Then on Christmas Eve at night once my kids are asleep I put the ones from Santa under there and their stocking as well. I don't have all the presents say from Santa. That's just how tradition has been always in my family. My family has had 2 different traditions so I picked one and stuck with it all these years. The ones from Santa are wrapped in different paper too.

Santa only brings a couple things for our daughter. Generally he give her something to read, something to wear, something to play with, and something to eat. All the other things are from Momma and Daddy, so why not wrap them? I love the way the tree looks with presents all under it, so beautiful. She also knows better than to mess with them.

all my gifts don't say from Santa either they say from mommy and 2 or 3 from Santa. but I still wait to put them out @azmommy85 , @wyatts_mommy_0106 my sons gifts are hidden in my back closet lol he would find them in my room.

yeah I'll have to hide them better next year since he will be almost 2 then lol. I still haven't got wrapping paper yet lol gotta do that by Wednesday

My 2 year old has tried to rip them open this year and my 7 year old likes to see how many are for him lol. I might wait a little longer to set them out next year. I just wanted to get most of it done since I can end up having my baby girl any day now (since I'm 2 days away from 38 weeks) I still have to prepare my hospital bag and fiances and still get some stuff set up for her arrival too. I figured couldn't hurt to have that done then finish on my daughters stuff so I wouldn't be overwhelmed @3.26.16

yeah I have one roll abs I gotta get another for the presents from Santa. and I still gotta get 2 more presents cause I gave him one early lol.

@3.26.16, That totally makes sense! My cousins 3 year old opened all of the presents under the tree one year, he did it so fast too! lol
