LOL I'm gonna have to steal your idea if i do decide to have a baby shower. I'm due in May and my birthday is in March too.

I'm doing mine two months before the baby is born so it'll give me time to get everything organized and put together before she gets here.

I'm almost 32 weeks and still haven't had mine 😞 I think my mom and sister are planning on doing it in a couple of weeks after my brothers birthday which is Jan 10th, so I'll be around 9 months, I didn't even wanna wait this long bc I don't think I'm going to get much, and I want to have time to get everything else 😒

@wrd2016, that just sucks. You'd think they would consider that. And might need most of the stuff you register for. Hopefully they get on it and throw you a great baby shower. Wishing you the best of luck!

I planned to have it in November and my mom said it was too early! it really pissed me off, bc she's not the one that's going to have to rush around 9 months pregnant, trying to get everything that I need in less than a month, hell, I could go into labor soon after, who knows! and she only thought about all the stuff she had planned the last month so she didn't wanna add to it I guess. still bullshit bc I didn't ask her to plan it. but I'm not gonna push the shower any later than mid january, I'll plan it myself if nobody else will!

@wrd2016, that's not right. I mean come on, you're the pregnant one, you probably have more to worry about than she does, and realistically planning a baby shower doesn't take THAT much effort. It's nice of her to offer it up, but it would have been nicer if it was done in a timely manor. Or if it's too much, don't offer, then you could have been planning on and maybe even already had it!

exactly! she said that I don't need to do it too early, and November was too early, so I had to wait through thanksgiving, now Christmas and New years, and my baby's father works out of town, so it's already hard to plan everything for when he can come back, it's so frustrating, now I feel so unprepared, like I'll be 8 months in a cpl of days, she could realistically come whenever she wants and I don't have anything for her really, I have a bassinett, a couple diapers and wipes and a few clothes and two pairs of shoes, and thanks to my bfs sister a stroller and carseat, I don't have any bathroom stuff for her, no bottles, no blankets, no receiving blankets, like I honestly don't even know what all I need 😞 I'm a ftm

@wrd2016, I only used receiving blankets in the summer bc my daughter loved to be swaddled and she was born in the summer and I didn't want to use thick blankets. otherwise you may not even need receiving blankets. depending when your due.

I don't think you'll need them. I stopped using them when it started getting chilly.
