probably from straining to get it out. i was the same. i was on the phone with my daughters doctors office when it happened with her and they said it was normal. if you have coconut oil, a&d ointment or diaper rash cream, you could put a little on it to help with irritation.

it's normal, just put some rash cream on his bum. ☺
