I had to swab both. Told me how to do it then sent me to the bathroom. I had to stick it up my vag a 1/2 inch then up my butt. It was awkward

they definitely swabbed both for me.. two qtip swabs..

They swab from your vag to your bum hole gbs can be on your butt and since babies don't just stay still when they come out they have to check everything. It's a completely normal test while it feels incredibly awkward it's worth it

My doctor told me they don't do it !!! Bc they have a blood test for that lol yayyyy hahahahaha

I got to do the swab myself. my midwives were awesome. just like my glucose test was a finger poke and I got to choose which kind to drink.

@tae23, they let me choose which drink too and then I asked for a glass of ice and. A straw hahaha

mine did the same thing lol. we had acess to a small kitchen it was awesome. I even ate while in Labor xD I could only have toast but after not sleeping for 4 days it was a godsend.

the best advice I can give us utilize everything they can do for you. bath shower, walking, different laboring positions etc. don't be afraid to ask them for anything either. I had a nurse track down a labor ball for me and I didn't even get to use it.

It was ok the vaginal swab but when she did the butt that was more uncomfortable@babybermea
