is there a such thing as overfeeding your baby? my son is 7 weeks I typically give him 3 Oz's but he's been wanting 4 Oz's...and now even more...he's not fat or anything...but Idk like do I just continue to give him more ? I mean I can't deprive him of food...so like wtf do u do u can't say no to a hungry baby
I felt this same way. My son was eating what was considered normal, then kept wanting more and more. He's now 11 weeks and is eating 8 ounces every 3-4 hours, consistently. He doesn't ever puke (especially projectile vomit) so he's not over eating and he pushes the bottle out when he doesn't want anymore. Some babies are just hungrier than what is considered the norm ;) and his doctor has reassured me he's completely healthy, which of course helps. Don't ever be afraid to call them and ask, or let them know your concerns... I'm glad I've gotten to that comfort level. Good luck! :)
thanks so much mommies... @_supermommie2173 @xoxo512070 @edomke @azmommy85
my son is also 2 months, I feed him what he wants, most of the time its 4 oz but sometimes its 5 or 6, you will know when they have had enough before you over feed, my son just won't suck anymore when he is done
I feed my daughter till she's satisfied. like u said no point in depriving a hungry baby. he'll stop when he's rdy @optimommy
Oh but from what I remember two months is a big growth spurt so feed him what he wants. Then he will go back to four ounces (sometimes) or he will go longer with five ounces
How often is he eating? When they get older they go a little longer. Also could be a growth spurt so no worries feed that baby 😊
he is hitting a growth spurt. my daughter started eating 4 oz at 4 weeks. just give him 4 if he seems hungry. don't let him have more than that though, it could make him throw up or give him a tummy ache
Thanks @bjqc_
