Mine was deployed most of my pregnancy then when he got home and started working again they gave him crazy hours and he's only home a few days a month so I've gotten used to sleeping alone so him being home throws everything off but my little guy definitely knows when his daddy is home he always goes crazy when he talks.
@mommy_thatgirl, yes it gives u an idea on some things... @sandycheeks thanks for advise.. @mjj3 thanks i will be packing the essential for baby... thanks ladies...
@mhbaez88, yes the breast pads and lanolin cream are lifesavers especially if you plan to breastfeed. @mommy_thatgirl I'd say it's a pretty comprehensive list PS mommas a face mask and earplugs help too to drown out the light and hospital sounds. it can be difficult to fall asleep in the hospital
for you;loose fitted clothing. i loved sweats or like maxi dresses! socks/slippers. something to do while bored(tablet..etc) your own travel size shampoos and all. pads just in case you dont want to wear the huge ones from hospital. cotton panties. ponytail holder. and closer to time maybe a throw blanket and pillow. phone charger. comfy bra. breast pads
For baby a few outfits, blankets, hats, socks, scratch mittens, if your hospital doesn't provide dipes and wipes pack those, and maybe baby wash. For you socks, undies you don't mind ruining, chap stick, shower stuff, comfy clothing to go home in, pjs. If you plan to do hair and makeup bring that too. I'm bringing my own pillow cuz hospital ones suck. Oh and the car seat
@mommy_thatgirl, I agree with the graphic except I don't see why mom would need a bathing suit and you honestly won't need the first half of what's listed for baby, at least from my experience
I packed everything I would need for 4 days just in case and for baby I just packed a boppy pillow, made sure the carseat was installed, and a few outfits so I could decide on baby's first pictures and a coming home outfit but the hospital should have everything you'll need for the baby. for this baby I'm going to do the same but bring my breastfeeding pump along in case my milk comes in early and or baby won't latch
