I went to sign up for WIC yesterday, and she said my iron was a little bit on the low side. It was 11.3. I find it ridiculous that my dr never checks anything like that, and I have a thyroid disorder that they should keep a check on every month and she don't. If I wasn't this far into my pregnancy I would switch to a different OB because I am getting so fed up with her, I have only got to see my real dr maybe 3 times this whole pregnancy, then every other time it's a nurse practitioner or something like that because my dr is out. The lady at WIC also talked to me about my weight and told me to try to slow down, why does my dr NEVER mention anything like that? Sorry I just need to rant because this is really getting to me!

@williamsbaby2016, you can switch doctors if you wanted to

I have thought about it, but I'm new where I live and don't know any of the Drs. @msbeautiful04

I have already gained 35-40 lbs at 24w3d. :( I'm trying to slow down but it's so hard! Plus I never get to see my regular dr and it's starting to aggravate me. But the lady at WIC did make me panic a little bit lol. @ciarahaleyyyy

your OB may have a good explanation for all of that, doctors don't just ignore stuff, so just give them a chance before you switch :-)

If you haven't had a glucose test yet that's why your doc hasn't checked. It's easily controlled with iron supplements. If you are that worried go buy some.
williamsbaby2016·
I'm not that worried I was just going to let her know at my next app, I was just curious as to why my dr hasn't talked to me about any of these things. I'm not taking anything until I check with my dr.. @mjj3

williamsbaby2016·

I had a yeast infection and bv almost throughout my whole pregnancy and I told my doctor something wasn't right and she never did anything about it. only way I found out was because I thought my water broke so we went to the hospital and the on call Dr told me I had both.

sometimes doctors don't do their job correctly
williamsbaby2016·
Wow that's horrible. I agree 100%. Some doctors are only there for the money. I'm not saying all because there are some good ones out there, but some don't do their job. @babytheran1
