It depends. I bled for 6 weeks pp and then got my period back around 4/5 months. I was exclusively breast feeding. Some women don't get it back for longer if they're breastfeeding and some women get it back sooner.
Should start when u deliver that day u bleed after and that's ur period .. That's what my doc told me ..... But with sum people u don't hav a period of ur breast feeding ....
I bleed for maybe 2 weeks after delivering my daughter then I started my birth control 3 weeks after that & got my first period 2 months after delivery.

if you're breastfeeding it could not come till you stop. other than that its hard to tell, everyones body is different
