I so badly want to get on a schedule or a plan to help better my breastfeeding habits!! It's so hard…

i tried getting my daughter on a 3 hour plan. she lasted two days and then decided to do her own thing. its alot less stressful just to follow them. and maybe they will get on a schedule on their own.

@myangelfaith, I can do that, I'm just wondering about storing or making more to have! Do you pump and store?

i did ,my first few weeks when my daughter slept all the time i was able to pump after every feeding because i had an over supply and i also pumped when my daughter slept through her feeding. she is two months old now and i have no time to pump very often because she takes very short naps during the day. Also she is a pukey baby. She has a problem figuring out when she is full sometimes and she has a bad gas problem. Another thing is that like i said she is doing her own thing now which means she's eating pretty much ALL the time. all babies are different. Maybe you'll get lucky. I got over 20 bags of about 6 oz tho, those first few weeks i was so engorged and dripping everywhere all the time. hahaha

I just got my pump yesterday so I'm planning to start pumping and storing. My son is only 11 days old, but since I didn't have a pump I was supplementing with formula and it brought my milk production down. I also bought mother's milk tea today and I hope it will help me get on track and be able to cut out the formula. I don't have a schedule, I just feed on demand.

@myangelfaith, im gonna try that for a couple days to see how it goes as far as feeding and then pumping while he naps and my baby has puked a couple times and has had really really bad gas and idk if it's because of the little bit of milk he gets from me or if it's the formula! I've gone more to formula because I can't seem to I guess pump and nurse and get a little discouraged @varduim I'm waiting on a pump but I'm not sure when I'll get it! I have a manual one but it is exhausting lol and I have mothers milk tea and I will say it helps!! I've noticed since I've been drinking it I leak a lot more which I should be taking to my advantage and pumping or nursing but I've gotten a bit lazy!

It took my insurance a while to get my pump and it was so annoying. It is an electric double pump, but I'm only getting out 1/2 Oz each session 😔 I really hope the tea helps. Plus I need to pump more often, but I've been lazy too. I'm glad the tea works for you, it gives me hope for myself! 😊 & I hope you get your electric pump soon.

And, yeah the formula has been easy for me when I just can't nurse him anymore. He has such a big appetite. I notice him spitting up a lot, and I assume it's got to be the formula. I feel bad and want to do better for my boy. I just need to step it up!

@varduim, you and me both!! We'll get it together lol!! And I hope it comes too cause I'm gonna be a body builder if I keep going with the manual 😂😂

haha seriously!!! 😉 I'm having my 2nd cup of tea right now then will pump in a little bit. I was wondering, do you use 1 tea bag per cup, or can you make 2 cups per bag? I think instructions are 1 per cup, but that will get pretty expensive.

@bashsmommy1115, my daughter is the same way with the puking and gas. My mom says its most likely fatty dairy because my brother had the same problem. i bought wellements organic gripe water, it works very well!

i also switched to fat free milk and cut down on yogurt, cheese and icecream

I only use one! But I started out drinking at least 2 cups a day! I'm gonna start back drinking it like that cause I haven't drank it in a few days!! @varduim

@myangelfaith I've eaten yogurt twice this week and I already drink fat free milk so I think I'm gonna change my eating habits. I'm gonna have to start meal prepping

try the organic gripe water its surprisingly cheaper than little remedies. i can still enjoy my cheese yogurt and ice cream.

@myangelfaith, what exactly is gripe water lol do you use it with formula or just by itself?!

just by itself. this type of gripe water is mainly juices, citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. also the wellements organic gripe water is good for hiccups and teathing as well as gas.
