mommies is this how the umbilical cord supposed to look coming off?

my babys was hard, black, and bleeding, took over two weeks to fall off. doctor told me to put alcohol on it every day to dry it up, and also let baby soak in tub (bc the warm water loosens it) it was hanging by a greenish string and at her appt i complained so the doctor put some silver stuff on it. cord was gone the next day.

If the pedeatrition isn't worried I wouldn't worry too much. Id say ask about putting alcohol on it. It helps to dry it out.

just keep cleaning it daily to keep it clean and dry and he should be ok. otherwise call and ask the doc. they will make sure baby is ok.

That's how my sons looked coming off. It ended up starting to smell so I put alcohol on it to dry it out

my daughters looked bloody and ugly and I thought I did sonething to it but when doc saw it he said it looked great.
