Yes, you can drink. Most of the time they prefer you don't eat a full meal before going into the hospital for multiple reasons. I ate light snacks up until I went to the hospital.

Yes it is but most Drs don't want you to because if you have to have an emergency csection it can cause problems but they have fixed that
