Paci don't effect teeth till around 5, once your child gets to a point just take it away. It'll be a rough few days then they'll get over it. I see it as a paci habit is easier to break then thumb sucking you can't just take a kids thumb away

My baby has a pacifier! He is about to be 6 months old, but doesn't seem as interested in it anymore. He basically just plays with it now. It helps a lot and I grew up with the same ideas you did 🙂

All my boys never liked them I tried because I think they look cute but they didn't want them

My son had one until he was 10 and a half months. it's was one with the little stuffed animal attached to it. he loved it. the animal helped alot.

I say if you give them one try not to let them keep it for too long. my one yyr old used one until he was abt six months old and it was super simple for me to wean him off

I'm using pacifiers with my baby. My whole family basically used them religiously lol. Whenever baby fussed, baby got a paci. Whenever baby went to sleep, baby got a paci. Whenever mommy and daddy wanted a break, baby got a paci hahaha. They usually would take them away at like 2 yrs old unless the baby got tired of them on their own

i was reading a study that was done and it actually helps reduce the risk of SIDS. It was in Parents magazine.

my son would only take the ones that the hospital gives out and after a couple months he wouldn't take any of them.

I gave my son a paci thought he looked cute but it's difficult to take them away he's 3 now & already took it away hope he's dad doesn't give to him again 😑 I don't plan to give this baby a paci don't want to struggle again

I gave my daughter one and took it away before her 2nd birthday. She asked for it for two nights and then forgot about it. I now give my son one (6wks old) but he only seems to like it when he's falling asleep. Some babies don't like them and some love them... and some times the parents love them more lol!
