ok ladies my fiance wants to start feeding out son baby food...he shows all the signs of being ready…

I thought babies start at4 months who told you 6?????

you better feed your baby.

All doctors around here say 6 months. You can always try at 4 months, but they didn't recommend it to me until 6. @mumof2

And we started early but my daughter didn't care for it, you can always work and encourage them to try it. We were told to start with vegetables first. I did vegetables one day and fruit the next.

I started my son on baby food at 3&1/2 months. I started with a veggie

@mumof2, we'll the chart his doctor sent home with me says 6 months and she even said it at his 4 month check up to start giving him baby food at 6 months but he's such a big baby and really seems to be ready for it...I just don't wanna over feed him 😔

@their.bomb.ass.mom, yea they say 6 months here too...but like i mentioned earlier he seems ready..his daddy's always letting him try things and of course ima worry wart lol...I may try it this evening 😊

I was told between 4-6 months. We started at 5 as dd had stopped tongue thrusting and showed interest in it. She loved it! First food was bananas, second was avocado! She has been a great eater since! She is 17mo now and eats almost everything!

no it's not uncommon my son lives both fruits and veggies his Dr told me to do a veggie first cause they will choose the sweet fruit ones over the veggies so I did all veggies first then started on fruits

i started my son early (3 months) because he was ready (you know your son better than anyone go with your gut). i started with veggies. wait a few days between changing food incase of allergies. i did mix food and cereal together and still do. he just turned 7 months.

just went to the doc yesterday they told me to start my son on rice cereal for a few days then mix a fruit in it for breakfast then lunch a veggie, and that by six month he should basically be eating breakfast lunch and dinner
