How soon did you mommies tell others about your pregnancies? I've heard most wait until 12 weeks, do you agree with this? Just wondering!

So far we are doing okay. 29 weeks today with twins!! I also work at a vet clinic so I had to let them know for certain patients, drugs, X-rays, etc. My all day sickness didn't kick in until about 7 1/2 weeks, but omg it was awful!! The thought of food at all made me sick!! Work sent me home a few times, but they knew it wasn't anything contagious. And days that I haven't been myself they have known why. Prayers your pregnancy goes well!!

Exactly, but some women are different and I get that. Especially women that have a history of miscarriage will wait to make sure everything is okay. I just never could, with my first I did wait until my first ultrasound, but that's because I didn't believe I was pregnant. 😂😂😂

@their.bomb.ass.mom, I'm on the same page as you. I don't know if I'd be able to handle a loss without support.

I pretty much told everyone as soon as possible with both pregnancies. I get some women wait until later, because of the risk of miscarriage. But of anything happened I'd want everyone to be aware, just my opinion. I hate to go through something like that basically alone. That and I can't keep my big mouth shut. 😂😐

@wiccanmommy, that's a very good point. Thank you! I'll have to think about that. I don't think I have bad exposures, but I'll need to check up on a few things to be sure. I work in an outpatient clinic. So exposures to sick patients for sure, but not chemicals and medications. I just do the patient documentation.

@krystal, yes. Like I work at a vet clinic so I stay away from crays and certain drugs. Along with certain cases that might be dangerous.

@adorableavasmommy, exactly what I'm worried about!! There's no way I could hide puking and being sick for so long. I leave for work at 6AM every day and get off around 5PM so I'm certain they'd know right away. I'm not a frequent bathroom person either so it would just be so obvious I think. Plus I have to stand in patient rooms for long periods of time as my job.. If something smelled badly or I started feeling sick I'd HAVE to step out early-- which I've never done before. 😂

@twinmommy2016, that's a good point, definitely. I think my workplace is pretty safe, so that's good at least. And I'm sorry about your miscarriage 😞 I can't imagine. I hope this pregnancy goes perfectly for you! 💕

@krystal, my morning sickness came around 6 weeks and it was more like all day sickness so I know I could never have passed it off for food poisoning for 4 weeks 😂😂

@adorableavasmommy, I think that's a good idea, to wait on Facebook at least. I'll definitely want to tell my close family and friends. I'm mostly thinking about the women I work with... They're all physicians. One of them is my own doctor lol. So I feel like they will totally know right away if I show any symptoms. And if they know, everyone I work with will know. It's an entire office of females so it's a bit hard to keep news like that secretive lol!

@xaviermom1221, Oh wow, that's interesting! I know risk of miscarriage is higher in the beginning. I feel like personally it would be hard to deal with a miscarriage alone (before anyone knew). I'd just be inexplicably sad seeming to everyone else and it would be hard because they never even knew something was lost. I'm kind of torn on the issue though, because I'm also generally pretty private.

Yes if you have exposures at work, they need to know right away so that you are kept away. You can always tell work and keep it a secret from anyone else. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage right after I told everyone so originally I was going to wait, but I just couldn't this this one.

@krystal, we told our parents and immediate family right after we got the positive test. it was my personal choice because I knew if something were to happen, we'd have their support! as far as Facebook goes, I think we were about 10 weeks or so? I don't remember!

Yes because the miscarriage is higher, it would suck to announce then have to announce the bad news. My Spanish family takes it as a superstition so they won't even congratulate you if it's before 12 weeks that they find out 😨
