If one more person asks me why I buy my son books since he can't read I'm going to scream! Is it so hard to believe that I read to him?

I think it's great.  I also have a lot of books for my son,  and am collecting more. My husband and I read to him now, and will read with him when he is a little older. 😊💓

Haha so true here's my daughters first bookshelf... She's not even born yet and 85% of those were given to us for her baby shower... The rest were mine as a child. She will go farther with books that last longer than toys with noise will entertain her. (which is why none of her toys make artificial noise) some baby instruments, mainly wooden blocks, wooden flash cards, teething toys, flash cards, indestructible books, and cloth books... That's all she needs.
