so ive been told that as a first time mom labor will take longer because it will be harder for me to open... now im scared because i dont want to be in pain thaaat long. how long was labor when you guys were first time mommies?

The average for first time moms is one cm per hour. Obviously it can be more or less. Just remember though your body is amazing and you may not even feel the first part of dilating! I went to a four (over the course of a week) with my first and thought I was just having Braxton hicks. Just because it takes longer overall doesn't mean it will hurt more!

True labor 16 hours but I was dilated to a 3 for a few weeks before.

I was induced and labor was 36 hours but I only pushed for 45 mins.

I believe it was around 15 hours then I pushed for three hours. My baby was big though 9lbs 3oz. Didn't have pain most of it though because of the epidural although it wore off when I started pushing and so that part was painful.
