kinda upset my obgyn only gives out 2 ultrasound one at 8 weeks and one at 20 weeks!! like really my daughter could be a 9lb baby and noone would know bc she won't do another ultra sound to see!!

@mommyof05, my Dr is the same I had to pay 100 to get an ultrasound
My doctor does 1 to confirm pregnancy on first visit, another one at 12 weeks to measure for abnormalities, another 1 at 20 weeks for anatomy scan, and two more one at 30 weeks just as a precaution and towards the end of pregnancy to check the size of the baby
the doctor I had with my first baby Did one to measure the fluid and make sure everything was ok and he was head down
i have a feeling my OB is the same. I really want to know if he is in the right position, and a estimate on size and weight. Thinking on paying for one last one around 39 weeks.
I am concidered high risk bc my twins was born at 28 weeks and I've already had shots to stop labor once and got given steroids for the lungs to mature.
we all have to go through that when we aren't high risk especially
they should be doing another one they didn't with me either and my son ended up weighing 10lbs 9.8oz and he was born with holes in his lungs because he was too big to fit through the birth canal.
Yeah and they don't do 3D ultrasound either its crazy
