no there is no specific order my water broke before I lost my plug and didn't have contractions they had to induce me I lost my plug 2 hrs after my water went

you may not lose your mucus plug so don't count on that but if it does come out it'll be that first then you're water should break but it may also not happen so don't count on that either you might just get contractions & they may have to break your water at the hospital. labor & delivery is very unpredictable so don't count on anything for sure
