I have to drive almost an hour away just to get to the High risk Dr office. They won't schedule me…

Why are you considered high risk just now and not earlier?

I see a high risk OB and a regular one, and they are both definitely necessary. My regular OB monitors me but the high risk OB monitors the baby in a more detailed and comprehensive way. I'd really try to ensure you see the high risk doctor if that's been recommended @bets

@swtlilangl, I have been seeing a regular OB my whole pregnancy. But I changed him because I hated how he was never concerned and literally rushed patients out of the room, long story short he wasn't a good Dr. Yesterday I saw my new OB, & she told me she wasn't gonna be able to be the one to see me that since the beginning of my pregnancy I was suppose to have seen a high risk Dr. But my old OB never told me that or anything. I'm considered high risk for recurrent pregnancy losses of 4+ and GD . I was suppose to have been getting shots they said. Because I'm at risk for pre term labor. I've been contracting on a off for a month now too. in and out the hospital. they have me on meds and have me gave shots to stop them but they come back. I'm so far along I feel like my babygirl is okay already that there's no need for a high risk Dr anymore if we both have been OK this long. But I don't wanna make a mistake. Would you think it's necessary this far along already? Dr is just so far and its such a hard time for me to get there. and there's not one closer. Idk whats best right now.

@rebcamdot, I'm just so far along already & I'm barely told this. I guess since she's been okay and I have too, I don't feel worried. But ever since they told me that yesterday, I feel scared.

I would probably make the trip once to see what they say. Depending on that outcome I would probably just visit the hospital if something felt off rather than making the long trips and see a regular ob for checkups. Because at this point you really don't need to make it too much longer if baby has been good to this point.

@swtlilangl, I know after all those losses and her actually staying with no medical intervention, she's truly a miracle. & I'm definitely worried now. But I know she'll be okay, she's here to stay.

@bets, I agree with @swtlilangl and you should at least go once to being assessed. They specialize in high risk pregnancies and if the doctor you've been seeing for most of your pregnancy was neglectful you'll want to know that you and baby are ok.

@rebcamdot, I know. I decided who cares about the drive. it's about my baby girls and my well being. Even if its nothing to worry about, better be safe than sorry. thanks for your advice! :-)
