@lilyandkaidynsmommy, exactly they can have blankets once they are of the age to be able to roll over and lift stuff off there face. I'll be waiting till 1 year just because I'm paranoid lol

@xaviermom1221, I mean new stuff has been released saying that padded bumper are more dangerous than good because they can roll over and suffocate on them. I think the new thing is mesh bumpers they are like 20 bucks at Walmart and since there netting you can breath through them. I won't be putting bumpers on mine till my baby gets a little older and I see if she even needs them. Some baby's don't sleep wild some do

@xaviermom1221, we have never used bumpers and never had a time where I thought they were necessary. We do just a crib sheet and that's it.

The government says coffee is good for us, then it's bad, then it's good in moderation, then it makes no difference. They say babies must sleep on belly, then babies MUST sleep on back. Bumpers were created for safety of the baby- they're bad now. I say use common sense.

Well I should return them then because I wanted the crib to be super cute, but it won't be if it's a hazard @kmally

@xaviermom1221, your welcome! That sucks I had no idea crib bumpers are even dangerous until I was shopping for some and I saw how expensive they where so I googled "do I really need crib bumpers"'and that's how I found out lol.

If you're going to be a stickler on baby crib contents for the sake of SIDS, you should follow the other recommendations by CDC for SIDS- breastfeed for a year, no contact with smoke, baby sleeps in small crib an arms length away, etc..

@misserinc, it's not something you can really argue with when there's reported cases of baby's suffocating on them...I'd rather be safe than sorry but that's just me I'm paranoid😂😂... Don't believe in taking unnecessary risk when I don't have to.

@elenasmommy, same lol. ;) my guy is 19 months and still sleeps an arms reach away, was breastfed until 15 months and definitely has not been around second hand smoke.
