what would you lady's do if someone was getting you used things for your baby? I'm not just talking…

honestly I'm not taking any used things from people. we got fleas lately due to a used baby item.

I would gladly take them and clean them up, and if I didn't need them I would give them to people who need them... I grew up extremely extremely poor, so hand me downs (even if they weren't in the best shape) were a God send to me.. in not "too good" but old or used things. Now if they were completely unusuable I'd say thank you and just throw whatever it is.

I go through all the stuff we get, if it's just disgusting I see if I can possibly clean it, if not I'll trash it. when it comes to clothes I have draws with all the "nicer clothes" then I have boxes with all the older, worn out clothes (they're only in boxes cause I'm in the middle of moving) so when the baby comes I know I'll most likely use all the nicer clothes the most, but those times when we are running out of clothes and I have NO motivation to do laundry I'll pull out the other clothes and use those so I don't have to do laundry lol.

@bri92, i dont want these things they're all messed up looking to me lol but my best friends mom keeps getting these used things for my baby. and she doesn't even clean them i can see stains all over ugh. I'd rather get nothing than to get crappy stuff. 😦

just say "oh thank you but we already have ___"

@mymiracle, she is just trying to do something nice for you. I hope you aren't a brat to her face. You sound insanely ungrateful. Sorry but it's the truth.

u can drop the stuff off at a donation place if its not unsaniatry just stained. other stuff just throw away. its just that she isnt picky maybe.

In my personal opinion her cleaning it up or not shouldn't matter... I clean up everything I get no matter what... even if it's been cleaned before... it's easy to clean things... if it bothers you that much just tell her you have pretty much everything you need

Or YOU could clean it, if it's something you want to use. If you don't want it, just toss it. Hand-me-downs are fine, but if they're legitimately unusable, just throw them out and don't give a second thought. She may think she's helping.

@yummycake, the things that are workable with im going to try to clean..but most of the stuff has parts missing.

yeah stuff like that just bin. if she asks tell her u gave it to a friend who needed it. if it gets too much like she is hoarding stuff....be more upfront and say u got all u need if she wants to keep helping to donate some stuff to shelters or pet shelters ect. they need blankets and toys.
