All I can say is thank god for health insurance. I have been hospitalized twice and now on bed rest at the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy. Finally got to open my mail. I'm looking at all the claim forms and it cost 13k for me to be in the hospital for 3 days 😐 the first time I was hospitalized and all I have have to pay is 775.00.

@lil_bigmama, I haven't had the baby so we shall see how much that will be and I haven't seen the bill from my second stay. But all and all its not bad.

your comment got my curious so i looked it up lol in 2008 a c- section cost $15,800!! vaginal xost $9,600! imagine what it is now!!! @lil_bigmama and youre on bed rest in the hospital the rest of your pregnancy?! @kaygrig

@lil_bigmama thank you. It's been an interesting pregnancy but we will do anything for our children. Even if that means sitting in the bed for as long as he will stay put.

Yes.. thank God! I get frustrated with my job at times but when I read my insurance state for an emergency cerclage they had to do at 16 weeks, I appreciated my job like never before! $26,000 I had to pay $0 😱😳🙏🏼

Yup. My cervix is open so I have to stay at the hospital until he comes. @meganeileen6

@lil_bigmama, thankfully I have had visitors. But I can totally see how this can take a toll esp since I'm not home. Did you do your bed rest at home or hospital.

I was just saying the other day how blessed I feel to have gotten insurance when I found out I was pregnant. I got it as soon as I found out, around 5 weeks. The average cost of having a baby, if you are paying out of pocket in FL for a non complicated pregnancy, between doctors visits, blood work, sonograms and the hospital stay and etc is $55,000. I know I don't have it like that, and my husband makes GOOD money. I wouldn't ever be able to pay that off!

how dialated is your cervix, btw? Did they dx you with an incompetent cervix?
