So my OB has given me the option of being induced on Monday. I'll be 39 weeks, 6 days. Am at 2cm, 80% effaced and had my membranes stripped today. I'd be against induction because I think I'll go into labor on my own, but I have to go back to work right at the first of the year. So if induced, I might get more time at home with her. What would you do?

Some places will not let you come back to work without a Drs note. Like a release. So I would go ahead and have her to be safe. Plus that will give you time to heal :]

some people want to be induced and is sitting home at 4cm crying lol so if she is giving you the option I would go for it

If my dr said he wanted to induce me I'd do it. All women are different tho. I loved it. I knew the day, made sure everything was together and my husband was off work.

id try an get myself to go into labor first an if i cant id go in monday so that i could spend more time with my baby., try walking a couple of miles. it will really help.

I was 39 weeks and at 2cm when my membranes were stripped. I went into labor 1.5 days later. 🙂. You may go into labor on your own soon
