in c sections do you get to hold your baby right after or do they take the baby? just wondering

I held my both my sons right after because everything ok!

awesome my mom wasn't sure if they changed it or not when she had all of us 11-20 years ago lol they took the babies and cleaned them up while she went to recovery @mommyof2kids

I got to do skin to skin within a few minutes while they were closing me up...every place is different tho so I would ask if it's possible. after a bit they took her to recovery with my husband and as soon as I was wheeled in they gave me to her to breastfeed.

I didn't get to see my baby for 2 hours after mine but we had a few problems
