I did with my first and never thought twice about it...she's 5 now and her father has very limited involvement. I have my current s/o the opportunity to have his first child and son to have his name since he is an only child and his name will die with him....he told me to do whatever I wanted?!?! we aren't on the best of terms lately so at this rate my son will also have my last name and then both kids will have my name.
