I sometimes feel like a horrible person because I hate being at my fiancés mom's house. I can't be myself at all because she thinks everything is 'an ugly word' or is nasty or is horrible. we can't even watch a movie with a little fight scene because she doesn't like it. I get so uncomfortable because I Am constantly having to make sure I censor any and everything I say and do. I can't even jokingly smack my fiancés butt because she acts like we just had sex in front of her!

My stepmother is like that. So annoying. I just go around for the holidays lol. I dont even want her coming to my house like that because she has something to say about everything all the time

I feel you, my SO mom is schizophrenic, and she always think something I say or how I look is upsetting to her. It's strange and after awhile I just gave up and be myself. Its too stressful trying to please her, trust me it's not fair to you. I doubt you're doing anything really wrong !
