Yeah 2 decades is a while, you may need to just have this convo. are you married? have shared assets? cuz you may need a lawyer....
this is usually reccomend for abusive partners. i would let him know beforehand that you want him to leave so he can get a placr ready. if he doesnt then thats the only option. is he that bad?

to avoid confrontation pack all his stuff wait until he is just about to get home like 10 min put it outside the door and lock it leavinf it there for him with a note saying you are not home you gone on vacation so don't bother and yoy blocked him everywhere. sleep in a relative or friends home for a couple days to avoid stress.

I'm just tired of crying and tired of lies..I feel like he has no loyalty to me and I've been there for him through ups and downs.
