Well that makes me feel better. I've still got 7 weeks left before my stitch comes out and they are saying baby is already 3lbs. X

I've got a big baby... he's estimated at 5 pounds at 32 weeks 2 days.. but his weights not dropping to normal so they are concerned x

All babies are different sizes. It doenst always mean there's a problem. everybody grows differently. and although these 1lb differences sound huge..They're not @julie-louise 28/29 weeks my baby was estimated at 2lb and said to be small. The range that makes them average is quite small at this stage. and when babies are born one that's 7lb and one that's 8lb..don't really look too different to each other. I get fortnightly scans because she's 'too small' but she's still a normal healthy size. It's just a precaution to keep an eye on any changes. I would try not to worry too much 😊

Also I had tons of water last time...almost half a stone worth. my son was 7lb 13 and after giving birth I was over a stone lighter than the night before 😂 so the other half a stone was water and placenta 😳

Ah okay they just made me worry that's all. They thought I would be diabetes but my results came back fine :) which is amazing. Just thought there could be something wrong with me or baby because she's so big. X

Did they give you a centile? If you don't have diabetes then she's probably just a big girl. but like I said there's 1lb difference between our estimated baby weights at the same gestational age...mines too small and yours is too big. so the normal range must be quite small if one pound difference is a concern for me and for you.a pound isn't massive. think how easily you can gain or lose a pound yourself. and babies all grow at different rates or in different ways. Sometimes my son was too small and wouldn't grow for weeks then he would have a growth spurt and catch up and be 'normal' it would be insane to expect everybody's weight and measurement to all follow the same line. It's like saying that because I'm 28 another 28 year should be the same height and weight and their head should have the same circumference etc. my consultant told me that the centile graph they have from 3rd to 97th (I think) anything on that chart is just a normal variation of life and not to worry about it . x

@julie-louise, I was the same, had GTT negative and loads of water. First baby I tracked on 90th centile and they told me he would be big, over 9lbs, he was born at 39 weeks and was 11lbs 2 and over the 100th centile. This time around same thing, tracking at 90th centile, baby born at 37 weeks was 7lbs 8 and 50th centile. It really is a guessing game but on the plus side, after the birth I lost 2.5 stone, ya don't realise how heavy that darn water is - good luck with everything x

@aftermathofmoo, haha you don't! The water weighs loads! and a baby over 11lb 🙈 I have no words
