How true is this? How many ladies have done this? No judging!!!!

I did I loved doing it but just couldn't keep going because I felt uncomfortable when I had to feed in public. Really hoping I can go longer this time

I tried. He couldn't latch or swallow correctly. I switched to pumping. My supply was never enough. So now I formula feed and supplement with the small amount of breastmilk I can pump.

I had to stop , I wasn't producing enough and now she just acts like I'm a chew toy

Oh wow. Idk it's tricky with me honestly my goal is to breast feed for 2-3 months and than start to formula feed. Is that bad?

I wanted to but I don't eat "right", so I was afraid my milk wouldn't be nutritious enough :/

I breastfed past a year (16 months) and got stuck in this endless cycle of feeding at nap time and bedtime... I got so frustrated bcuz I didn't want to just cut him off because it can cause emotional stress and stuff but I had to wean before I went on vacation with my in laws. I am putting a time limit on it this time for sure!

yeah.. I was a private feeder lol I was always sitting in my car with a blanket over me or finding a bathroom. I miss breastfeeding him and it's an awesome experience you get to bond with baby in a quiet room alone just staring at each other but you can pump when you want a break. it was well worth it my son hasn't been sick at all and he's 19 months.. I used my milk for diaper rashes and skin irritations. it def. is liquid gold. you could start out breastfeeding and then switch. I just commented on your post because I like to tell people to set a goal for length of time because I got to the point he would be pulling on my shirt and he was so dependent. I would set a goal of 12 months when you can wean and their still little enough to not stress so much about it.

yup. my pediatrician said there's no significant evidence showing their nutrition is dependent on bf after 5 mth. LO's first tooth broke through and 2 months of nursing through thrush-sucked. literally-yeast infection being passed between your nips and baby's mouth constant meds being rubbed on you and swab baby's mouth before and after every feeding. yeah, we'll see if I wanna nurse this one...x_x.

Damn that sounds soo painful! Sorry to hear! That's what I'm worried that she'll do that or not latch properly and other reasons. This is the most annoying to figure out

give it a go :) just don't beat yourself up if it works out or not. my mum was the main reason i couldn't give up nursing, or believe me, I would have lol the only 'bad mom' is the one not taking care (formula/breastfeeding ) their babies :)
