How long are Braxton hicks supposed to last? I'm having what feels like a strong period cramp but it's been going for about a minute now and hasn't stopped, plus a dull pain in my lower back. I've had Braxton hicks before but they've never lasted this long and they're normally a little less painful than this.

you could be having actual contractions honey. time them. and if they become more intense and closer. i,would call,your OB. or go to L and D

My contractions felt just like period cramps & continued to get worse. Mine were 4 minutes apart & I went to the hospital. Was 3cm dilated at 9pm & delivered at 5:05am

@momma588 I had them earlier today but they stopped. This one still has yet to stop. I'll start timing them though. Thank you

@fancy.shattuck Idk how to explain it, it's a period cramp feeling plus a little but of a sharper pain. I'm sitting on my yoga ball right now and it feels a little better but the pain is still there. I'm not sure if I should walk around to see if they get closer together or just try and relax and see if they stop.

I tried resting & a shower & they got worse. But you know what your body can handle. I knew my limit & I had already been in full blown labor since about noon.
