no not technically. you can refuse any test. or you can talk to your doctor about alternative forms of the test. instead of drinking the drink you can eat a handful of jelly beans, or drink real maple syrup. or test your blood sugar at home everyday for 2 weeks and give your doctor the results.
I did the maple syrup, having lupus I was concerned about the effects the drink would have on my body.
everyone really should for the health of themselves and the baby. I didn't have it done but I'm already diabetic so I didn't need too. like the other comments said they can't make someone do it.
