Is it a bad idea to go out to eat tonight? My SO wants to take me out for my birthday and I know it's the night before Thanksgiving so noone is going to want to cook tonight but I'm not sure.. I've never been out to eat the night before Thanksgiving.

everywhere is open, might as well give them a reason to be there. As a baker I was disappointed when I had to work the day before or during a holiday and nobody came in...it feels beyond pointless. Just wish everyone a happy thanksgiving while you're out and enjoy yourself :)
