Effaced is the thinning of your cervix. Same thing some doctors say effaced which is the real term other day thinned

It's literally just the fancy doctor word for thinning lol. Up until you have the baby they check how effaced and dilated you are. Effaced is how thin your cervix is and I guess you know dilation is how open

I guess that's what I mean lol. from the little knowledge I do have thinning is thinning and that effaced thing is it narrowing?????
