My daughter hates pacifiers!😧 & knew the difference between a bottle nipple & a pacifier since she was a few weeks old. she only sucked on her paci her first 2 weeks & after made gagging noises when I give her the pacifier. She's 3 months old now and that has not changed

@hamman13, @steph11 I find it so weird. my family always tells me I'm lucky because she won't get attached to them like other babies do. guess we're the lucky ones 😂

my daughter weaned herself off of one at about 5 1/2 months, which was good because at 6 months I was just going to throw them away. She doesn't even care for them at all anymore. I'm not even going to use one with this baby. I think it's seriously great when babies get rid of them on their own, most don't.

@steph11, I get you. My daughter loves to suck on her fingers & my hands too. @their.bomb.ass.mom, that's how I see it as well. better for them to leave them on their own instead of them being stuck on the pacifiers & you having to take them away later on.

I will say I sucked on my thumb for several years as a child, and had an abundance of pacifiers so I don't really believe that argument. In my opinion they'll suck on their thumb if they want, it just happens. 😂 @steph11
