since its National Adoption Day, I want to give a shout out to the amazing woman who didn't want my brother and myself to be another kid in the system. didn't want us shuffled around from house to house never having a home. who opened her door, home and heart. who gave up a personal life to help us grow. my family accepted us from day one. I'm so lucky and so blessed. not just for being accepted 100% in a family that wasn't blood, but for being loved enough by my birth mom to be put up for adoption. it takes a strong woman to do either. and even though both of them no longer walk this earth, i know they are both watching over my little girl.
