c-section or vaginal? and how was your experience?
induced but with no progress after 2 days we decided on a c section as i had elevated blood pressure and didn't want to risk having to do an emergency. she was out within minutes and I was able to do skin to skin and then breast feed in the recovery room. they had me up walking as soon as I could feel my legs. it wasn't bad. hurt to get in and out of bed and up and down...and the ride home I felt every little bump lol. 2 weeks I was off pain meds with very little discomfort and by 4 weeks I couldn't feel any pain. I had a lot of help those first two weeks my parents flew in and did everything for us so I got to rest and focus on my new baby. over all my experience wasn't bad the worst for me was the swelling in my feet and legs...I couldn't even wear slippers lol but they went to normal after a month or so.
Vaginal, had the epidural. Got a 2cd degree tear, recovery was the worst part, but it happens, and I'm all good now. I've heard awful stories from friends that ended up with emergency c sections. 😩 But its all about pain tolerance! some women prefer c sections over vaginal.
Induced on my due date with my first. Emergency c section at 29 weeks with my second. I preferred the c section.
csection was up and walking the next day but i was depressed because i couldn't try for a vaginal birth because my son was measuring to big for me.
Planned c section. They gave me Benadryl and I was already sooo tired from not sleeping the night before so I was basically unconscious the whole time. It took 35 minute start to finish. And from what I kinda remember wasn't so bad at all don't remember much till day two though.
I had my baby thru emergency c section, my experience was rushed, and not nice I don't remember anything from the surgery room):
Vaginal induced 4 days early because I had been in labor for 2 weeks with no progression. I got the epidural but it didn't work so I pretty much had a natural birth. after I was induced I was in labor for 8 hours and pushed for 45 minutes. I don't remember the pain at all. it was a very easy birth.
