Okay ladies I need 2 favors. Can you guys explain what is absolutely necessary for a hospital bag and what isn't. I'm packing mine right now. I've read the lists but I don't wanna carry too much. And also anyone who's been induced can you tell me how your experiences went? I know everyone's different but I just wanna be prepared. Don't worry about anything being tmi

My Mom just said not to bring any clothes that I really like to wear because they will be ruined. I'm bringing: overnight extra long pads (they are purple), nipple pads (two pairs washable and quite a few disposable), nipple cream, two wireless nursing bras, 4-5 undies, 3 pairs warm socks, slippers, robe, one nightgown, going home outfit for myself, toiletries. For baby: boppy, two beanies, two sleepers, two onesies, going home outfit, two receiving blankets, two burp cloths, heavy blanket, 3-4 pairs socks. That's all I can think of!

I pack my self 3-4 pairs of pants (not nice ones incase you bleed through your pad) 3 shirts. couple pairs of socks. some slippers, maybe a robe. I didn't take one but my daughter was born in may so it was nice outside. Razor, charger and your own shampoo and stuff cause theirs sucks lol. For baby. I packed 5 sleepers 2 outfits(for pictures) her bring home outfit receiving blankets and socks. I packed so many sleepers because I don't like what the hospital puts the baby in and plus babies do spit up sometimes. I Definitely ended up using 4 of the 5 sleepers due to peeing while being changed and a couple spit up accidents. Also maybe some hats that match baby's outfits since its probably going to be cold.(idk where you live).

i was induced @ 37 weeks because my baby wasn't growing enough. I know a lot of people didn't like it due to being in the hospital a little longer. but personally I loved it !! I got to the hospital about 4pm a few hours later they started the cervadil to soften my cervix a little more.(I was a finger tip dilated and 80% effaced when I went in) at 6am(14 hours after getting to the hospital) they started my petocin(idk how to spell it I'm not a Dr. don't judge lol) about an hr and a half later I got my epidural. it wore off after about 3 hours. I asked for more bit had to wait an hr to get it again because the guy was busy in surgery. it took about 20 minutes to kick in(both times) 30 minutes after they gave it to.me the 2nd time they came in to check me and her head was coming out. all the nurses and dr rushed in. I pushed once and she was out ! I liked being induced because I knew what was coming. I wasn't sitting around waiting wondering if I was in labor or if I needed to go to the hospital. I was a FTM so I thought that was fantastic !! Contractions weren't too painful. the reason I got my epidural so soon was because I irritated with them. they started out 2 minutes apart and stayed that way. it was so annoying lol but like I said the pain wasn't unbearable I was talking to my husband and my grandma and my brother's gf and my niece while I was having contractions smiling and laughing. I was in labor for a total of 6 hours.

i wish I could get induced with this one that's how much I loved it ! I am freaking out because idk what to expect going into labor on my own. Good luck and don't be scared. if your unsure of what's going.on or whats going to happen you can just ask the nurses. it's such a huge relief !!!!!
