my fiancé and I live with my mother in law I feel like once the baby comes she's going to but in a lot on what I'm doing or want to do with my child especially with breast feeding its something I really want to do and she's very like oh well I didn't and you might not want to after a couple weeks or so but that's for me to decide I just feel like she won't be so supportive of my wishes and decisions any other mommas been in this situation or have any advice on how to handle it??

I'm currently in that situation living with boyfriends mom and told her I wanna breastfeed and she told me I shouldn't cause then "she won't be able to have the baby to herself for long amounts of time"

It's very nice of her to open up her home to you. My advice is to either move out or validate her concerns by listening to what she's saying wheather you choose to follow her advice or not.

we have our own place and my mil used to do that shit she'd try to take my daughter when I was feeding her we bf! or she'd just stop in 24/7 for the first month. now she still will get her out of her swing when she's sleeping. I've said things to her about the comments and what not and they have basically stopped or we font go around them. my baby is about to start solids and I'm going to go back to work after the first of the new year but they won't be watching her so well see how it goes

@steph11, dang that's a little overbearing that's what I'm afraid of like I don't mind advice but its my first baby I want to spend time with her and parent how I choose
