I got the flu shot and getting the tdap in my 3rd trimester.

@recklessmom54, you're doctor should not be putting you down about it but whooping cough can kill a baby and they can't get the pertussis shot so that's why doctors want us to get it.. Because that is given to the baby when we get the shot.

I got both but the flu shot isn't really necessary.. The tdap has pertussis in it that is for baby for whooping cough.. That can kill babies. That's why I got that one. :) it's completely your choice

I got the tdap it hurt but that's just because it's tetnis but it's for your baby so you should do what you want but I did it for my son.

I got the flu shot, I specifically asked my doctor for it because I wasn't taking any risks with my baby getting it. I go back Thursday and will ask about TDAP, she hasn't mentioned it to me

@recklessmom54, don't let anyone pressure you into doing something you don't want to do. Doctors try to get you to get so much stuff done so they can receive more money. I Never got those shots with any of my pregnancies or after (this is my third pregnancy). Do what you think is best for you.

@azmommy85 I didn't get them either. My doctors have really been putting me down about it at every appointment, but in my personal opinion I feel it was better for me & baby not to get them while pregnant. But like I said every doctor/nurse/other moms have been putting me down for it.

I got both and we're perfectly fine.

@Tay lay531, but not the TDAP? I've read good and bad things about both if you get them while pregnant. So I was just seeing what other moms did
