Sorry a little long...So my husband and I didn't really have a good night tonight and I'm sure a lot of you noticed from my posts, but when my husband actually told me what was on his mind and why he wasn't very happy when he came home kind of changed the whole situation and kind of made me really sad. He's only 24 and has very bad arthritis and fibromyalgia. The cold affects him negatively and all day has been a struggle for him. He's constantly been dropping things all day at work and when he came home he dropped a full cup of coffee too. He is was upset today because he's afraid. He's afraid of it affecting him when he holds our son when he's born, he's afraid of dropping the bottle when he tries to feed him and end up making him cry, and afraid of not being able to hold him some days because his joints are too sore or he's had a day where he's dropped everything he touches. When he told me this, I didn't really think about it much but now I am and it's breaking my heart because I don't know how to help him 😢

it may not be the same but my hubby has rods pins and wires in his back and so the cold also affects him he has different reasons for not being able to hold our kids and what I try to do is keep the house farley warn so he dosnt hurt maybe a nice pair of gloves he can put on that are really fuzzy and warm will also help. also it's good to let him know you are there for him and y'all will work this out its just a new adjustment ♡♡♡♡

@mommyhammond2016, I try to keep the place kind of warm for him now but I can't sleep at night unless the window is open a crack and I feel bad. He keeps warm at night but it makes me hate how hot I get at night even more.

O man it,sucks finding the happy medium. we sleep with window open and a fan going fan helps him sleep with noise and helps me keep a little cooler

I have fibro and arthritis and a few other issues so I feel this so hard and it makes my heart hurt for him and for you. If you need any advice on how to handle it I may be able to help you, feel free to message me. I know how bad things get in cold weather!! My body can predict rain, even! Haha. Maybe buy him some of those warm hand packs you pop and keep in your pockets so he can warm his hands when he's not using them? Also does he have a rhuematologist?

@kazori, he has medication for everything but fibro and arthritis. He is on 2 stimulants, one for ADHD and the other for Narcolepsy. @bria.k Yeah he can predict weather changes too lol. I told him to get some hot hands for work because he'll have to work outside a bit at his job when it starts to snow. Unfortunately he doesn't have a rheumatologist. He hasn't been able to get an appointment with his doctor because of how busy he's been with work and everything else.

Oh man. ): he needs to make an appointment and take that day off!! There are some medications they are coming out with that are surprisingly useful. There's a new one that's the first non injection arthritis medication in like 10+ years. It's for people who didn't respond well to methotrexate. I was on simponi (injection) before I got pregnant and it was helping. They're doing super great things for arthritis medications right now!!

Also I know it's not ideal with a job but I was getting infusions for a few years and that helped me the most. I ran out of ones I could take though because if I missed a month id have an allergic reaction and have to start a new one. You go to an infusion center and get an IV once a month. It's a whole day event but oh my god I never felt better in my life.

@bria.k, yeah he's had a few infusions in the past when his fibromyalgia flared up really bad on certain days. He's just been working so hard for me and our baby that he doesn't want to miss days at work but I'll talk to him and definitely let him know about that new medication. Thanks so much for all your advice :) oh and your baby is due one day before mine lol
