how long have u been natural? my hair is VERY curly. I've been natural for 4 yrs and it hasn't been easy. honestly not many ppl know how to properly care for natural hair. Theres lots of YouTube videos that will help with care, maintenance and even give you protective style suggestions. having natural hair is a chore and requires research and patience because our hair is so different and we have to do the trial and error in order to know what works for us. But hey you do whats gonna be best for you because no matter what you'll be beautiful 😊

I was natural as a kid till I got horribly teased in fifth grade (my parents are white never knew how to do my hair ) so i started relaxing it til about april14 cut my hair like Mikey Cyrus the top was relaxed I had that style till February 2015 then cut the relaxer out in may so 7 months,my hair is a little over 3 inches now sense i cut it so I have a TWA (teeny weenie afro) and can't do anything with it but wear a fro or puff I cant braid to save my life so sometimes I just throw a wig on,I watch a lot of videos but they don't have as tight of curl I do im the 4c and beyond hair type so the products never really work for me :-(
my hair feels like a sponge I think all that heat today I damaged a part of my hair I never use heat.. idk what do do I have to think about it I love it but its so hard to deal with it really is...

the TWA stage is the worst can't lie. but washing, co-washing and conditioning is the ultimate key. try the Shea butter products (target), mane and tail or carol's daughter. you can pretty much find these anywhere. and keep your hair moisturized. use olive oil, coconut oil or even the African pride products. YouTube "Havana twists" these are the most basic protective style braids and are super easy. when I started I couldn't do crap so I wore my TWA for a while (still wear my puff) then when I got a little more length I started buying and using the drawstring puff

@_supermommie2173, ugh it is ,I can't stand it I try to stay patient but I hate when people tell me wear this or do this pick it out I do pic it out the curl is so tight it bounces back to it original form and I feel like that basically want me to hide it or trying to say it looks bad but not be upfront about it,I love coconut oil and water and Shea moisture products ,I had this girl do crochet braid but ended up ripping some of my edges that's why I want to learn to braid my own so I know how tight or loose to do it,I like Havana twist I'll have to try that out ,just seems my hair is taking for ever to grow back 😟 I want to just wear my hair braided down and wear wigs till I'm at a length I'm OK with ,my school doesn't teach how to deal with this kind of curl at all I will try the products you listed as well I have olive oil
