my Dr told me they would not stop labor once I hit 35 weeks even still having the chance to spend time in the nicu....the earlier you have your baby the longer your baby may have to stay in the hopital...I deliver by c section at 38 and half weeks with a healthy girl.
from what i heard if you have a regular pregnancy and want to induce its 36 weeks. Most dactors and women would say wait until 40 or 41 weeks unless you have medical issues. Most women give birth early depending on how big there mesuring, medical issues or your body just says its time.
@cece-sabbah, the longer the baby can stay in the better. Even if it is just by a week. My son was born at 36 weeks due to health issues. They tested his lungs before I had him and they were barely fully developed... He also came out very tiny so his body couldn't regulate temp properly. We didn't get to hold him or have him with us until 4 hours after he was born. Praying for you and baby!

I had to have a csection at 38 weeks because it was dangerous to keep her in, but even that was pulling teeth to get doctors to agree because they wants baby to be as healthy as can be. The longer the better. We all get pains, some worse than other and I know it sucks but having baby early could make baby in pain and have a lot of problems and have to stay in the hospital so it's really not worth it unless it's medically NEEDED

you're considered full term at 37wks, I've given birth at 36 and she was healthy, no need for nicu...
