For a newborn they say not to bathe too often they can get dry skin and cradle cap. I did about once every three days sometimes more and then just wiped him down with a warm washcloth and no soap in between.

Doctors actually say only bath them once or twice a week when they are newborns and the rest of the days just give them a sponge bath with a wet rag but idk if I can do that I'm a clean freak lol

And @elenasmommy my dad was just saying you'll probably only be giving her a bath once a week at first and I thought he sounded crazy that's why I made this post but now that I think about it she probably will only need it once a week if im wiping her with a rag or sponge every day.

You don't wanna submerge the umbilical cord so sponge bath until it falls off
