So, I was in Publix with my husband tonight doing some grocery shopping. After picking up a bunch of bananas and putting them in the cart, I pushed the cart to the next aisle. I felt something on my arm and looked down....and saw this spider ON MY BARE ARM. Bright orange/red legs, with a neon green body and dark green stripes across it. It LOOKED poisonous. I practically screamed my head off in the store. I don't even know if it bit me, becauase I was just terrified and swatted at it and it fell on the floor. I have never, ever seen a spider with these colors before - and I assume it came woth the bananas, all the way from Dominica. You can't quite see the coloration here in this picture because my phone was dying so my flash wouldn't work. But my God, it was terrifying. I freakin' detest spiders!

OMG I once watched an episode of 1000 ways to die where a man died from getting bit by a banana spider at the grocery store and ever since then I'm so paranoid when I get bananas cause I have a bad fear of spiders! 😭😭😭

Holy CRAP....I just looked the name up...they are said to be the most venomous and deadly spider in the world!!!!!!!!! I feel absolutely lucky to still be alive right now! Clearly, it didnt bite me or I surely would have felt it...right?

I think you would know if you got bit. You are very lucky ! Check your bananas make sure they don't look like this.
