I have a 2.5 year old nephew that is currently in my custody. Need tips on potty training. Like how often and other rewards. He takes his diaper off when he's mad or doesn't want to go to bed. He tells u he poops and brings u the poopy diaper. He sometimes plays in it. He won't say it before he poops. He has no problem using it when u tell him to go. It's so hard. I need advice!!

Make him sit on the potty every thirty min, make a sticker chart for every time he goes in potty and give him a reward (small toy or ice cream whatever) when he fills up the chart.

I do every hour or two that seems to be good for him unless he's just eaten. stated the sticker chart. How can I get him to say when?

We set a timer for every 30 mins so my step daughter knew it was time and she never fought it. She had to sit on the potty for 5 mins which was another timer. we tried stickers but she is an instant reward kind of girl so regular m&ms; worked great for us. 1 if she peed 2 if she pooped
