My newborn has a hard time latching onto my breast 😔 makes me sad that he can't drink my milk. Is there any tips on how to get him to latch onto my breast! Please🙁😢
are there any lactation consultants in your area? they'd be able to assess the feeding and give you good tips on what to do to help with the latch. the ones here definitely stress nipple to nose because it makes baby tilt their head all the way back so their jaw opens wider. also, you can try laying back more during feedings if you aren't already. there's a video out there somewhere that talks about laying back while you're breastfeeding rather than sitting up straight
try the nipple Shield. it is hard to get babies to latch. trust me, I had the same problem. but what you can try to do is cluster feed him, so like every 15 minutes breast feed him and hopefully soon your baby will be able to latch on. also be sure to try and get as much of your nipple in his mouth so he can get a good latch.
nipple on nose wait til they open wide. Or I know sounds bad but if baby is crying with mouth wide open just put in the mouth it works baby will be happy right away!
